This December, Lancaster Round Table proudly continues the much-loved Santa Sleigh tradition, raising funds for local causes and spreading festive cheer throughout the district. Every year our volunteers take to the streets of Lancaster and the surrounding villages — bringing thousands of people together and making Christmas a little more magical.

Before you head out

FAQS & SAFETY EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Our routes are a guide rather than a guarantee — things like weather, traffic and how many volunteers we have on the night can all affect the exact path. If Santa's out and about, use the live tracker above to see exactly where he is.
The sleigh and trailer are a big bit of kit, so tight turns, narrow streets and cul-de-sacs aren't always safe to get down. If you're on one of these, the easiest thing is to meet us at the nearest main road — check the route map for the closest point.
For everyone's safety and insurance reasons, nobody is allowed on the sleigh or trailer at any point. Please keep an eye on little ones near the road, especially in the dark — feel free to grab photos from the pavement.
Every penny goes back into the Lancaster district — supporting the volunteer groups who help us run the sleigh each year, plus other local causes throughout the district.
You can donate online any time using the Donate Now button on this page, or hand it to one of our collectors when the sleigh comes past. Every bit helps, however big or small.
