Meet the Tablers

When I moved to the Lancaster area a couple of years ago I felt alone and wanted to step out of my comfort zone, make some new friends and do more with my free time. Round Table has helped me grow as a person and has given me fulfilment in my life. As a member of RT I also get the opportunity to give back to the local community.

I joined Round Table in 2024 while craving opportunities to be more busy and have a broader social circle. It has contributed massively to my life in terms of being more socially active, making new friends and meeting people I never otherwise would have done.

I have been a Tabler for about 10 years. Table has opened so many doors for me to experience things that I would have never done otherwise. Twice a month I get to go out, be myself, meet up with a great group of mates and do something a bit different. As an added bonus, over the years I’ve helped to raise and donate tens of thousands of pounds to local charities and good causes.

I first joined over 20 years ago, and it quickly became a valuable source of friendship and a vibrant social outlet. Through Round Table, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to India, South Africa, Germany, France, and the Netherlands. My experiences have ranged from helping to run a charity beer festival to trying axe throwing, archery and more!

Round Table has completely transformed my life. I went from having no social circle to being surrounded by great friends and community. I'm now more active, constantly socialising and meeting new people, regularly getting involved in exciting events, making unforgettable memories and genuinely having the time of my life. I also serve as Area 34 Chairman.

I joined to meet new people after moving to the area and to get out of the house by getting up to new activities and experiences. Since joining Round Table, I've made new friends and enjoyed plenty of memorable moments. I'm proud to be part of a group that gives back to the community while having a great time along the way.

I'm a data scientist living in the Lancaster/Morecambe area. I moved up to Lancaster from Wales about 8 years ago. Round Table gives me the opportunity to connect with my community and give something back to them.

My name is Salvetore, Sal for short. I have been part of Table for the best part of 10 years, minus a couple of years when I worked away from Lancaster.

Lancaster-born and a local, talented chef, I’ve found Lancaster Round Table to be amazing. It’s massively pushed me out of my comfort zone, helped me connect with people I wouldn’t normally talk to, and I love it for that. I’ve gained lifelong friends and grown even more confident in myself.

I'm a maintenance engineer for a paper mill. I joined RT after seeing an advertisement online; it looked like a great way to get out of the house and make new friends along the way. It has opened up many more possibilities for socialising and fun.

Living in Lancaster & been in RT since beginning of 2025 and I’m working as a Sales Manager. RT has made it very easy for me to socialise and make friends.

I'm a new member to Round Table, encouraged to join by a friend currently in XRT. From my first meeting I've been made to feel welcome among a great group of guys and had the chance to do some activities I wouldn't normally do while experiencing the brilliant community spirit I was told to expect.
